BAP MINISTRIES
BAP Ministries is a radio program that is committed helping and supporting the community through gospel events.One day B.A.P. was talking with his good friend, Rev. Perryman. After a failed attempt to get Perryman to play a certain music selection during his broadcast, B.A.P was advised by Rev. Perryman, if he had his own radio program, he could play whatever he liked. So in June 2003, on the fourth Saturday B.A.P. radio ministries was born. B.A.P. Ministries currently airs on 1350am WLOU every Saturday from 7:30pm - 8:30pm, every 4th Saturday from 7:30 – 8:30pm on WLLV 1240AM and every Sunday morning 9:00am to 9:30am on 1350 WLOU. B.A.P. Rev James Perryman owner of the Perryman Mortuary was our first and only supporter for the first six months. Other supporters soon came aboard. Shiloh Baptist Church 1349 Catalpa Street where Rev. H. M. Humphrey Jr. is pastor, our second sponsor helped us to gain the support of the community. Ministries has previously filled the airwaves in Franklin, Ky. and Nashville, TN.
In organizing BAP Ministries he brought together others to make up the dynamic staff. Sis June Mayfield of Atlanta GA., where she attends the great New Birth Church, was brought in to be the Co Producer. Also he invited Bro Lawerance Eric Austin (E-Dog) of Shiloh Baptist Church as the Co Host. God soon blessed the ministry with Sis Audra Wheat of the St. Stephens Baptist Church as the commercial tech. As the ministry began to grow so did the blessings. The staff expanded about six months later when Sis D. Marie Thomas of the Mt Carmel Baptist Church came along as the manager of the ministry. God soon blessed them with the help of Sis Michelle Malone of the Shiloh Baptist Church as the office manager.
BAP Ministries has sponsored events such as the backyard cookout; Trim the tree give away hosted by WLOU/ WLLV radio stations. Supported and worked with local groups yearly celebrations throughout the Kentuckiana area. Also has been a benefit to the Wheat Report as it has grown through the year.
